What’s going on, guys? Thomas here – a lead trainer here on the channel, and I’ve spoken about how to train for abs with workouts, the nutrition behind building your six pack abs, but now I want to touch on the mental aspect of achieving the body you deserve.

So, today I have 3 ways to start getting your mind in the right place for achieving six pack abs. Let’s get into them:

#1 – 0:29 – Stop Measuring Yourself Up With Everybody Else

This is a mentality to have not only when it comes to training and fitness, but your professional career and personal relationships with family and friends as well.

At the end of the day, remember that “they are THEM and you are YOU.”

#2 – 1:49 – Take A Break From Social Media

I know you all like checking out our videos here on YouTube and following us on Facebook and our blog, but in when it comes to toxic communities of trolls and fakes out there, social media can become a deflection from making the conscious decision to change for the body you want.

All you need to do is set out on a goal and execute – plain and simple. And, remember… Focus. Focus. FOCUS.

#3 – 2:43 – Live With Intention

I remember my dad telling me this and it’s stuck with me ever since:

“Goals are short-term; inspiration lives forever.”

What that means is that you need to find what your true inspiration is; the “why’ behind the “why” behind the “why” so to speak.

The goal may be to get six pack abs, but the INTENTION can be to live with more pride, boost confidence, live a healthier lifestyle, or be the best damn you that you can be.

Know the difference between motivation and inspiration.

When it all boils down to it, these aren’t any sort of magic tricks or voodoo witch doctor spells. What these 3 methods will do is help to create in your mind the neural pathways that will allow you to be more disciplined to act upon your body and make the changes you want.
