Intermittent fasting

I’m 46 yrs old and following a strict diet using some of the test max recipes to increase my testosterone and also doing high intensity interval training. I have also incorporated an intermittent fast where I only eat in between noon and 8 pm. However I’m still struggling losing my belly fat and weight. Could this be due to the intermittent fasting? I’ve heard so may great weight loss and fat burning benefits by doing intermittent fasting. I would like to know your thoughts

Following the Test Max Nutrition recipes and doing the HIIT is fantastic! Don’t stop doing those since they are essential in your goal for helping to lose weight.

Now, for the intermittent fasting window you have chosen – are you only eating ONCE between noon and 8 pm? Or, are you just eating all your meals in that window?

To effectively use this technique, you go WITHOUT eating for that window and eat in much smaller windows throughout the day. For example, if your last meal of the day was at 7-8pm at night and you don’t eat until noon the next day, that’s about 17-18 hours of you not eating (given you would have hopefully been asleep for 7-8 hours of that). This way, you are having your body feed off the fat stores currently within the body and using that as an energy source being burned through.

You would then set time windows much smaller for eating, like from noon-1pm and 7-8pm.

I don’t know your current height, weight, or how much weight you want to lose, so it’s hard to say exactly what to do. I would say stick closer to eating clean and consistently accompanied by HIIT 2-3 times a week mixed in with compound muscle exercises. Try implementing these moves:

Thanks again for the question. Kevin, and if you have any other additional questions or comments just leave them right here!
