Train With The Most Effective Methods For Six Pack Abs

What is going on, Thomas DeLauer – lead nutritionist & trainer – here to break down the science behind what you’ve been hearing at your coffee shop in the mornings or seeing more of at convenience stores – cold brew coffee.

But, first and foremost – caffeine is NOT bad. The metabolic benefits from caffeine, on top of how it makes me feel, is fantastic, but there is one simple rule I follow:

Don’t consume caffeine after 12pm. I cut it off afternoon so I can sleep. Plan and simple.

Let me get into cold brew now for you:

0:55 – Cold brew coffee is made without hear and is left to brew for 12-24 hours.

You see, with regular coffee that is made using heat, the oils in the coffee beans get extracted when heated. Problem is, heating coffee may be easier and quicker, but it releases acidic oils that kill the flavor of the coffee.

1:48 – Cold brew has 67% less acid than regular hot coffee. It’s also the acidity in that hot coffee that messes with your teeth.

2:10 – Caffeine & Fat Loss:

Caffeine mobilizes free fatty acids – necessary for lipolysis (utilizing fats as fuel). Caffeine has been observed in countless studies to take the free fatty acids out from the cell and puts it into the blood stream to be burned. That’s why a little bit of caffeine pre-workout can be amazing.

2:43 – Cold Brew V.S. Regular Coffee :

Cold brew coffee has 30% more caffeine content.

Also, less acidity is better on your stomach. So, say you’re in a fast and training in the morning – you won’t be having your stomach all torn up and hurting and dealing with those coffee burps with cold brew versus standard hot coffee.

One last benefit of cold brew over hot coffee is that when coffee is heated up, it loses some of its antioxidants.

4:02 – Boost your cold brew coffee with L-Carnitine.

The caffeine from the coffee mobilizes the fat, while l-carnitine allows the fatty acids to be used by the cell – a 2-step process for efficient and effective fat-burning.
