Today I am breaking into the deep-down science of stress and how it affects weight gain and burning fat. I’m talking about cortisol, stress, and glucocorticoids that causes us to store belly fat.

0:50 – Your brain reacts to stress first. The brain first reacts to stress, then sends a signal to the adrenal gland to trigger a specific cholesterol at the said adrenal site that’s then converted to cortisol.

1:17 – Cortisol is a steroid hormone that is released due to stress.

1:46 – When the body produces cortisol, it then signals to the body to release sugar all throughout to trigger enough energy to run.
