Weigh Yourself Every Single Day. Here’s Why.

Weigh yourself every day, even on vacation, no exceptions. And the reason for that is you’re going to catch a two or three pound gain right away, while it’s still easy to fix.

If you ain’t tracking, you’re slacking

One thing that I used to say to people back when I was CEO of SixPackAbs.com was what gets measured gets managed. So I’ve changed that to a new way of saying it that I learned from Brandon Carter. Shout out to Brandon Carter. For those of you guys who know his channel, he’s an OG YouTuber, still making videos.

What he says is, if you ain’t tracking, you’re slacking. For me, that just made a lot more sense. So that’s what I’m telling the people I work with now. If you ain’t tracking, you’re slacking.

Your weight works like your bank account

Think about your money. If you don’t look at your bank account ever, you just let the bills pile up and you don’t know how much money you have, you’re probably going to be poor.

Same thing applies to your weight. If you’re not looking at it, you don’t know where you’re at.

Why every day and not once a month

If you’re only weighing yourself once a month, or once every six months when you go to the doctor’s office, you’re probably going to gain 5 pounds, gain 10 pounds, gain 20 pounds before you even realize it.

If you’re weighing yourself every day, on the other hand, you’re going to realize immediately when you gain two or three pounds. And let me tell you, losing two or three pounds is not a big deal. You could do that in a couple of days.

Losing 10 or 20 pounds is difficult. You’re talking about months of sacrifice if you let things slide to that point. So don’t let it get to that point. Weigh yourself every day, catch it at two or three pounds, and fix it right then.

Same rule for sleep: 8 hours in bed is not 8 hours of sleep.
